There's so much preparation around becoming a Mother; the birthing guides, NCT classes, preparing the nursery (all the gear and no idea sound familiar?!), learning about pumps, and sterilising, choosing what nappy route to go down, how you're going to physically 'bounce-back' (or not!)…and rightly so, it is a HUGE LIFE CHANGE. Bigger than big. Life will literally never be the same again.

People warn you about post-natal depression, routines, co-sleeping, when to nap, what to eat, the fourth trimester, not spoiling the baby - information is EVERYWHERE, and often you didn't even ask for it!

But what about the bit no one talks

about?

The terrifying, lonely, confusing bit as you wonder when, and how, you'll ever feel like 'you' again? When your jeans fit again but the person in them just doesn't fit in the same way anymore?

That's what we're here to talk about. Through my client work, both group and individual, as well as on this blog, I discuss all things post-motherhood. When you emerge, blinking from the sleepless nights and endless nappy changes and try and correlate the person you've become with who you once were. We're here to normalise emotions, ask for what you need and build confidence in any and every area. You're in there still, you might be a bit different but you're still you and it really is all ok.
